JJRS stands for 簡潔人生, Chinese characters that roughly mean “life, simplified”. It is the embodiment of the Asian lifestyle aesthetic of simplicity and functionality that started in Japan as the Danshari minimalist movement which is now pervasive across most Asian social circles. Danshari is a more extreme minimalist philosophical ideal while we advocate for more of a middle ground. Therefore we believe simplicity is healthier than minimalism.
As our slogan suggests, we are a daily necessities store focused on simplified, natural and modern style designs. The combination of these elements creates a new definition of what it means to be Living.
The reality of modern society having become too hectic means a need exists to uncomplicate our daily lives. That being said, it need not be boring. Through new and innovative designs of daily goods, a new mode of day-to-day emerges.
