Room organization tips
How to easily and effectively organize your room.
Most of us are prone to having messy rooms and desks. You grab something and after using it you leave it on the table and later on you repeat the same thing with another item. After this behavior is repeated multiple times with each turn being more random with respect to where you put your wares you have effectively created a messy desk. Or it could be the case that you don’t have much spare room to begin with so you stuff your belongings here and there and anywhere you can find a spare crevice of a space, thus creating a messy room. In both situations the next time you attempt to retrieve any of these items there is a high chance of not being able to find them in time or at all.
Aside from the unappealing aspects of a messy space really at the end of the day it just causes headaches when you cannot find what you need when the time comes. Sometimes it’s trivial you can get away with it but what if it’s urgent or related to an emergency? Not a pleasant thought we would agree. So therefore we all need to organize our living spaces for the ease of our mind.
However with that being said, room organization is not rocket science! It’s actually super easy. All you really need are storage bins, boxes and organizers and your problem is effectively solved forever.
JJRS Living for example carries what we call Multipurpose Storage bins that come in various sizes and shapes. These are typically stackable so you can stow them away nicely in your closet or a spare corner. They also come in standard widths or narrow widths so you can even put them in literally the least accommodating spaces. Remember to assign labels to your storage bins so you’ll immediately know what’s inside without having to look through them every time. If you’re detail oriented you can even create a contents label listing out everything inside the bin. With a category label and a contents listing label attached to every container you won’t really ever have to remember anything in much detail anymore. Just make sure the labels are facing toward you though!
Storage bins and organizers also come as either with lids which make them stackable or without lids which are typically more suitable for frequently accessed items. These tend to be things used on desks and in the kitchen setting. For these we recommend smaller containers with less depth for ease of browsing and accessing(sometimes they resemble trays more than containers). There are also specialized organizers that are compartmentalized for such purposes, for instance for stationeries, clothing and makeup supplies. But we think generic open containers are much more versatile as you can cross use them in multiple scenarios and with multiple in-box placement methods. Your creativity is your limit!
Room organization is not difficult at all. Once you start it becomes even a little addictive because of the massive aesthetic difference before and after organization. Before long your messy room will become so neat and tidy even you won’t believe it! The best part? It just takes a couple of bins and containers! That’s why we sell them at a discount when you buy multiple ones because we know just how useful these seemingly unassuming boxes truly are and also how satisfying organization feels when done right!
